To compare galvanized steel coil quotations, send every supplier the same specification and ask them to identify deviations explicitly. Confirm the thickness basis, coating requirements, quantity and delivery terms before comparing the price per tonne.
Information to include in your RFQ
| Field | What the buyer should specify |
|---|---|
| Product and grade | State the required grade and standard edition; attach the project specification where applicable. |
| Thickness | State whether the figure refers to base metal or total coated thickness, plus the agreed tolerance. |
| Width and edges | Specify width, tolerance, slit or mill edges, and any downstream forming restrictions. |
| Metallic coating | Specify the substrate and coating designation, including how coating mass is defined and tested. |
| Surface condition | Specify spangle preference, skin pass, oiling or passivation requirements and end use. |
| Coil size and quantity | Give quantity per specification, coil weight limits, internal diameter and handling constraints. |
| Inspection | Agree the sampling plan, test methods, acceptance limits, inspection party and required reports before production. |
| Packing and shipping | Specify wrapping, edge protection, supports, shipping marks, destination port and Incoterm with named place. |
| Schedule and payment | Agree production timing, shipping arrangements and payment terms in the quotation and contract. |
Agree the inspection evidence before placing the order
Ask for a sample inspection report layout and agree which measurements will appear on the order-specific report. Measurements should identify the coil or batch, test method, measured result and agreed acceptance limit. Photographs can document appearance and packing, but cannot establish coating mass, grade or mechanical properties on their own.
- Dimensions: identify thickness measurement locations, width tolerance and coil identification.
- Coatings: specify the applicable measurement method and whether the stated figure covers one side or both sides.
- Surface and packing: agree the acceptable appearance, edge condition, wrapping and shipping marks.
- Documents: distinguish a company management-system certificate from a product test report or shipment document.
Compare quotes on the same basis
Check the currency, quotation validity, weight basis, included packing, inspection costs, payment terms and named delivery place. A lower quoted price may reflect a different coating specification or excluded freight. Ask each supplier to list all departures from your RFQ.
ChinaCNU factory and documents
ChinaCNU is the export brand of Shandong Ruitong New Materials Co., Ltd. The factory is in Boxing County, Binzhou, Shandong, and the export office is in Qingdao. Review the certificate holder, scope and current verification record before relying on a certificate. Confirm which documents and tests apply to your exact order.

Questions before you order
Can packing photos prove the product grade or coating weight?
No. Check the relevant order documents and agreed inspection results. Packaging photographs document the visible packing and handling scene.
Does a management-system certificate replace coil inspection?
No. Confirm the certificate’s holder, scope and current status separately from the product’s specification and test results.
What determines the final production schedule?
The agreed specification, quantity, production availability and approval steps determine the quoted schedule. ChinaCNU’s typical production reference is 15–20 days after deposit and specification approval; ocean transit is additional. Confirm the schedule for your order.
